The HOP Pants (Hybrid Outback Pants) were developed for those who demand not only durability in the field but also maximum mobility and technical fabric performance. Whether trekking in the mountains, practicing bushcraft in the woods, or working under tough outdoor conditions – these pants deliver flexibility, comfort, and endurance without compromise.
Technical Material Blend for Durability and Agility
The HOP Pants are built from a strategically combined dual‑fabric system designed to meet the specific demands of freedom of movement and long-term ruggedness. High‑wear areas such as the seat, knees, and pocket surroundings are constructed from Duracanvas – an extremely robust blended fabric made of 65% polyester, 33% cotton, and 2% elastane. This material is known for its exceptional tear and abrasion resistance while remaining breathable and comfortable to wear. The cotton content provides a natural feel, while polyester enhances drying speed and improves shape retention.
The movement‑critical zones – particularly the back of the thighs and the crotch area – are made from VersaStretch, a 4‑way stretch fabric composed of 93% nylon and 7% elastane. This material provides outstanding multidirectional elasticity, making movements such as climbing, kneeling, or squatting easier without pulling or restricting. VersaStretch is also lightweight, resilient, and ideal for long-lasting comfort during physically demanding activity.
Both fabrics are treated with a dirt‑ and water‑repellent finish that causes light rain and grime to bead off. For extreme weather or extended stays in wet environments, an additional wax treatment can be applied – particularly on the Duracanvas sections. This hybrid material concept makes the HOP Pants an excellent choice for demanding outdoor missions requiring high mobility.
Functional Details for Extended Use
Featuring reinforced knee areas that double as pockets for protective inserts, a wide hook‑and‑loop adjustment panel at the waist, and adjustable leg cuffs, the HOP outdoor pants offer a tailored and secure fit regardless of gear or activity. They also include a belt loop with integrated attachment points, allowing carabiners or D‑rings to be carried for additional equipment.
Thoughtfully Designed Pocket Layout & Field Utility
With a well‑structured pocket configuration – including two classic front pockets with reinforced edges, two hook‑and‑loop‑secured thigh pockets, and two large zippered cargo pockets – these pants allow systematic organization of gear such as tools, smartphones, multitools, or magazines. The pockets are lined with fine mesh to prevent sand and dirt buildup, which is a significant advantage in rugged terrain.
