  High-Performance Three-Season Sleeping Bag

  The Carinthia SOF 3 is the warmest of the new SOF sleeping bags, featuring 275 g/m² of G-LOFT insulation for excellent warmth with a compact pack size. Weighing less than 1.8 Kg, it saves precious weight for long missions. Its synthetic filling offers superb moisture management and breathability, making the SOF 3 an ideal companion for demanding tours in cold and damp conditions. Combined with other SOF models, it forms a modular sleeping system suitable for year-round use.
  

  Exceptionally Modular System

  The Carinthia SOF series offers a versatile sleeping system, rendering other tactical sleeping bags obsolete. The SOF 3 provides a comfort temperature of -2°C and a comfort limit of -8°C, ensuring warmth during cold nights near freezing. For additional insulation, the SOF 3 can be layered with the SOF 1 to achieve a comfort limit of -15°C. Combining the SOF 3 with the SOF 2 results in a comfort limit of -20°C. All three SOF models together create a powerful system with a comfort limit of -24°C, ideal for cold winter nights. Internal loops allow compatibility with Carinthia liners, and each bag and sack includes color-coded patches for easy identification, which can also be replaced with name patches for exercises.
  

  Durable Construction

  The lightweight and abrasion-resistant polyamide fabric is treated with a water-repellent coating. High breathability promotes moisture wicking, creating a comfortable sleeping environment. Unlike civilian models, the SOF series features a robust profile zipper meeting military standards. One non-locking slider enable rapid opening, and the zipper is secured by a hook and loop tab to prevent accidental opening during the night. The hood section is adjustable with a drawcord, and a thermal collar around the chest helps retain warmth. A small chest pocket keeps essentials within easy reach. The differential cut prevents insulation from being compressed by body movements.
  

  Premium Insulation

  The low-maintenance and efficient G-LOFT hollow fiber excels in compressibility, lightweight construction, and moisture resistance. While down insulation collapses under extensive moisture, G-LOFT maintains loft and insulation properties. This makes it the ideal choice for extreme conditions where reliable cold protection is crucial. To further enhance efficiency, the SOF 3 includes Thermoflect technology, which reflects body heat.
  

  Multiple Storage Options

  For compact packing, the included compression sack reduces the sleeping bag's size to just 19x27 cm. After use, the bag should be hung to dry and stored in the included storage bag without compression to maintain the G-LOFT fibers’ insulating properties. Alternatively, it can be hung by the loops at the foot end.

  Care instructions for G-LOFT sleeping bags

  G-LOFT sleeping bags are machine washable (delicate cycle, max. 30°C) and suitable for tumble drying on low heat. Before washing, close all zippers, open the drawstrings, and turn the sleeping bag inside out. A washing machine with at least 7kg capacity is required. The gentlest cleaning method is handwashing in warm water with synthetic fiber detergent. After washing, rinse several times to remove detergent residues. Spin at a maximum of 500 rpm, then air dry – avoid direct sunlight. Machine drying is possible on very low heat in the gentlest program. Shake the bag during drying; for heavy sleeping bags over 2kg, an industrial dryer is recommended.

  Proper storage

  G-LOFT sleeping bags should always be stored uncompressed to maintain the insulation performance of the filling. The ideal storage method is hanging, open, or with unzipped closures in a large mesh bag such as the Carinthia Storage Bag Net in a dry, well-ventilated area. The filling needs enough space to expand and recover. The stuff sack should only be used for transport, never roll the sleeping bag but rather stuff it from the foot end with the zipper open. Repeated rolling places strain on the same areas of the filling and can damage the construction.
