Description
The high performance boot for missions in humid areas
The new tactical boot from Salomon is the even more robust, even more reliable and even more versatile shoe from our favourite guarantor of successful missions in rough terrain. As its name suggests, the Salomon XA FORCES JUNGLE was originally designed for humid conditions. Especially in humid and very hot regions, the boot is popular with special forces for its versatile, stable structure. In contrast to the previous models, the outsole of this boot has been made even more resilient and the material has also been reworked.Robust material, smart workmanship and optimised fit
At 8-inches, the XA Forces Jungle is one of the models with the longest shaft and yet, at 590g, it is one of the lightest boots in its class. Due to its use in humid areas, extremely lightweight materials were used that don`t absorb moisture and thus don’t produce any additional weight, while also drying quickly. If the boot is exposed to large amounts of water, the drainage holes in various places on the outside and inside help to get it dry again. These small holes also have the advantage of improving ventilation inside the shoe. The lightweight combination of materials and the boot's ability to both wick away moisture and provide good ventilation make it a good option not only in the jungle, but also in hot, dry areas.
The boot owes its fit to the SensiFit design, which hugs the foot from the midsole to the lacing system and fits the foot almost like a second skin.
The upper material of the high performance boot is taken from the Salomon Forces Quest 4D: The mesh material is a reliable and, above all, ballistic nylon that is double or triple stitched. Its anti-dirt function prevents even fine dust particles from settling between the footbed and the foot. A high-quality, full-grain nubuck leather at the critical stress points ensures unlimited durability.
A special innovation on the new XA Forces Jungle is the way it is stitched: a finish has been developed here that reduces material overlaps which not only benefits the slim, lightweight design, but above all the durability of the shoe.Proven rubber sole with more volume
Salomon has improved the sole, too, and added a few centimetres of rubber protection, which extends to the nose. Grip and stability are thus significantly improved.
The biggest difference, however, is on the inside, where the boot and its Contagrip MA
sole have been reinforced with the help of feedback from numerous users and equipped with full protection for rope climbing and abseiling. In addition, the front of the boot has become slightly wider so that wearers with wider feet can find optimal comfort. Salomon's signature 3D Advanced Chassis, a layer sandwiched between the outsole and midsole, ensures good energy transfer and a smooth use even when the terrain gets uncomfortable.
