With its balanced combination of protection, comfort and durability, the new Salomon Cross Hike Tracker GTX is equally suited to demanding outdoor tours, bushcrafting and tactical tasks. Resistant materials, weatherproof workmanship and a sophisticated sole construction ensure a firm footing and stability on rocky ground, in mud or in changeable weather.
Upper
The upper combines robust textile with protective synthetic overlays. An abrasion-resistant anti-debris mesh prevents dirt from entering, while special reinforcements in the toe area offer additional protection against impacts. The feather-style construction places the upper over the midsole for an optimal, snug fit and precise control.
Construction
The Cross Hike Tracker GTX relies on a sophisticated combination of lightweight construction and durability. Its mid-cut fit encloses the ankle with protection and stability, while the flexible heel area provides mobility and agility. The wraparound Sensifit construction adapts precisely to the foot and ensures a secure fit – especially when travelling, off-road or during tactical tasks. This design offers a balance of protection and mobility, which is particularly important during long marches or bushcraft tours.
Sole construction
The midsole made of high-performance EnergyCell EVA foam offers optimal shock absorption and dynamic energy return on long, uneven routes or during sudden movements in use. The Mud Contagrip outsole impresses with its deep chevron tread and multidirectional grip. An integrated heel brake stabilises your stride on sloping or changing terrain.
Gore-Tex membrane
The Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane makes the Cross Hike Tracker GTX reliably waterproof and breathable at the same time, keeping your feet dry in rain, mud or snow. The special jersey inner layer ensures durability and low weight. This functionality is essential for outdoor use where moisture management and comfort are crucial.
Additional features
The Quicklace lacing system allows you to put on and take off your shoes in a flash with just one pull, even when you're in a hurry or wearing gloves, without any time-consuming knotting. This comfort is complemented by the replaceable OrthoLite insole, which offers long-lasting cushioning thanks to its anatomical shape, ensures optimal ventilation and also has odour-inhibiting properties to guarantee a pleasant foot climate even during intensive use.
