The superior construction of the NorArm Kandahar Combat Shirt in the Hooded Edition reflects the personal deployment experiences of NorArm's founders, ranging from the sun-scorched mountains of Afghanistan to the dusty plains of Iraq and the icy fjords of Norway. To facilitate mission accomplishment for professional users in diverse conditions, the combat shirt is equipped with a variety of strategic features, achieving a unique look even without stripes on the arms.
Performance-Oriented Material Combination
For optimal functionality and durability, NorArm uses a robust 50/50 nylon-cotton blend for the exposed sleeves, shoulders, and hood, while the torso, cut neither too tight nor too loose, features a 4-way stretch and quick-drying jersey made of polyester, cotton, and elastane, providing maximum comfort under a plate carrier. For cold regions, the shirt can be excellently supplemented with, for example, wool underwear.
Comprehensive Protection from the Elements
Mesh inserts under the arms increase air circulation, qualifying this combat shirt for hot climates and demanding operations. The long front zipper and the sleeves with hook and loop closure can be widely opened for additional ventilation. Discreet elbow pad pockets prepare the tactical shirt for rough missions and long observations. A stylistic highlight is the hood with a drawstring, which efficiently protects the head and neck from sun, dirt, and wind during breaks and in the camp. When not in use, the hood can be worn flat under the plate, not covering any equipment on the back panel.

With the intelligent design of the upper arm pocket, NorArm finds a consensus between the two prevailing preferences of hook-and-loop and zippers: Access to the content can be from the top with the generous hook and loop flap or alternatively from the front with the zipper. This combination, along with an ergonomic angle, achieves best accessibility for small items or bulky equipment. The generous loop surfaces offer plenty of space for large flags, name tags, IFF markers, and unit badges.
