Description
Lightweight winter boot with ultra-thin insulation
The Black Eagle Tactical 2.0 GTX WTR High puts an end to uncomfortable winter missions with frozen toes and slippery sections on snow and ice and upgrades any operation in icy temperatures with the necessary comfort. Highly slip-resistant, warm yet breathable, and with extra comfortable cushioning properties to boot, the winter boot with high shaft brings the necessary steadiness for long outdoor operations even in unpleasant operating conditions.
Upper material
Leather
The upper material of the winter boot is a particularly stitch-resistant and durable smooth leather with a thickness of 1.6 - 1.8 mm, which cannot be damaged by pointed objects or sharp edges.
Ankle protection
Because safety protectors are incorporated in the ankle, even the most vulnerable ankles are separately protected - safety in the shoe is permanently and reliably guaranteed.
Insulation and waterproof properties
Lining
As a specially designed winter boot, the Black Eagle Tactical 2.0 GTX WTR High uses a faux fur lining with Aerogel insulation in the toe and sole area to optimally keep warmth in the shoe. The faux fur doesn't give frost and snow a chance, while Aerogel is highly technological in defying the cold in the most vulnerable areas: the ultra-light material is over 99 percent air and is used for its low density and outstanding thermal insulation properties. Aerogel has extremely low thermal conductivity, which means it can significantly reduce heat loss. Because aerogel is also hydrophobic, it is effective in humid environments.
Gore-Tex Thermium membrane
To prevent moisture penetration without sacrificing good moisture management, the lining is prepared with Gore-Tex Thermium technology. Gore-Tex Thermium prevents water from entering the shoes from the outside, while at the same time wicking sweat and moisture from the inside out to ensure comfort. However, it is also equipped with an insulating layer that serves to retain heat inside. Despite the insulation, the complex membrane remains breathable, preventing excessive sweating inside the shoe.
The special twist of using Gore-Tex Thermium membrane, aerogel and synthetic fur is that a waterproof, breathable shoe with ultra-thin insulation can be created.
Sole
Outsole
The Black Eagle Tactical 2.0 GTX WTR's slip-resistant sole is made from a rubber compound and provides a secure grip on snow and ice. A particularly innovative tread design reinforces the sole's extremely high slip resistance and grip. The sole is also resistant to fuel oil, heat and cold in accordance with EN ISO 20347:2012, which also officially certifies the boot as a work shoe.
Inner sole
A cushioning wedge in the 2-component PU insole provides the special comfort of the tactical boot, as it ensures targeted cushioning of the steps.
Pronation support
Because the heel itself is stabilized separately with asymmetrical PU foam, the small but fine extra comfort is also in the detail here: the so-called pronation support helps as an orthopedic or biomechanical reinforcement to support the natural movement of the foot, in which the foot rolls inward to absorb the shock with each step, and to correct minor overpronations. This provides support for the heel and helps to prevent twisting.
Fit
Also in its entirety, the shoe was designed according to ergonomic guidelines and equipped with special lasts that provide an ideal fit to the foot and ankle and ensure maximum comfort even on long days.
Metal-free design
Especially for authority missions, it pays off that the Black Eagle Tactical 2.0 GTX completely dispenses with metal and eliminates permanent, annoying beeping in security areas.
