Robust and Comfortable Weather Protection
Efficient protection from rain starts with an excellent laminate. The durable material used for the Monsoon XT Gen. 2 Jacket is a three-layer waterproof and breathable laminate, offering reliable protection from water and wind while ensuring breathability. The Monsoon XT Jacket features an additional front zipper cover for added reliability in adverse weather conditions. Primarily designed as part of a sniper combat system, the jacket’s extended lower back ensures optimal coverage even when lying prone.
Unique Air/Pac Inserts
One of the unique features of the Monsoon Jackets is the integrated Air/Pac inserts in the shoulder area. These serve two main functions: The first is to provide additional lightweight insulation in the shoulder area, preventing the formation of a cold bridge. This occurs when there is little or no insulation between your skin and the outside air, allowing the cold from the rain to transfer to your skin. The second function is to distribute the weight of heavy backpacks or plate carriers. Due to their cushioning nature, the Air/Pac inserts offer extra padding where you normally bear the straps of a backpack or protective vest.
Innovative Hood System
With the amazing Hood/Harness system, conventional hoods quickly become obsolete. The system is adjusted to your head size on the first use and then perfectly follows your head movements, allowing you unrestricted vision in extreme weather conditions. A practical side effect is the space between the hood and your head, providing better air circulation and hearing capability.
Advanced Pocket Configuration
Typical of UF PRO, the jacket is equipped with pockets, making it suitable as an outer layer of the uniform. Two upper arm and two lower arm pockets offer ample space for essential gear, keeping it within easy reach. When only one hand is free to open the upper arm pocket, the bite piece provides the necessary tension for easy opening and closing. The loop surfaces on the upper arms allow for attaching unit badges and identification. Long side zippers can be used as ventilation openings in demanding situations or as access points to gear worn underneath.
