The Catalyst 26 backpack is the technical functional update of the Urban Assault Pack and now impresses with exactly those features that the predecessor lacked as functional highlights. Moreover, the daypack combines functionality with an environmentally conscious design, thus representing a deliberate step towards an uncompromising approach to sustainability and environmental awareness.
Recycled Cordura for Sustainable Functionality
The daypack is made from recycled Cordura 500 den re/cor nylon. This material is distinguished by its robust durability, making it an ideal choice for products that must withstand extreme conditions. Its resistance to abrasion, tears, and wear, combined with remarkable light weight, offers an optimal balance suitable for both everyday use and demanding outdoor activities.
The standout feature of the recycled Cordura 500 den re/cor nylon, however, is the underlying recycling technology that transforms nylon waste into high-quality fibers. This environmentally friendly approach not only reduces the amount of waste but also saves significant amounts of water and energy that would otherwise be needed for the production of new nylon. In addition, special coatings and treatments increase the material's water resistance, making it excellent for use in damp or wet conditions without compromising breathability.
Optimized Organization
With a volume of 26 liters, the backpack provides ample space for daily necessities as well as equipment for longer trips. The main compartment, protected and made accessible by an innovative 3-zipper system, along with a specially padded, external laptop compartment for devices up to 17 inches, ensures organization and protection of electronics. Additional organizational compartments, including a zippered mesh pocket, storage compartments, elastic bands, and a zippered lid pocket for items that need to be quickly accessible, offer structured space for smaller items and accessories.
Two external water bottle pockets are in place for quick hydration on the go.
