  The Tramontane jacket is Helikon-Tex's windproof masterpiece in terms of lightness and functionality: Weighing only 120 g, this reliable wind blocker can be cleverly stored in an integrated chest pocket, achieving the compactness of a beverage can – a dream for every tightly packed bag and full backpack.
  

  Featherlight Nylon Fiber

  Made from revolutionary WindPack nylon, the Tramontane wind jacket impresses with its remarkable windproofness and exceptional durability. The special nylon fabric is not only featherlight but also extremely compact when packed.

  In addition to windproofness, WindPack nylon offers remarkable breathability; moisture is effectively wicked away from the body. Thanks to the DWR (Durable Water Repellency) coating, the wind jacket is also water-repellent: DWR applies a coating at the micro level and is applied directly to the fibers of the fabric. This coating changes the surface tension of the fabric, preventing water from penetrating the fibers. Due to the DWR treatment, water droplets bead up on the surface of the fabric instead of penetrating it.

  An important advantage of the DWR coating is that it does not impair the fabric's breathability. This means that moisture from inside (e.g., sweat) can be transported outwards, while water from outside does not penetrate.

  With its full-length zipper, adjustable hood, drawstring at the bottom hem, and elastic cuffs, the Tramontane wind protection jacket offers flexible adjustment options and optimal protection from the elements.
