The FALKE TK5 Wander Short is an ankle-high hiking sock designed for activities on easy terrain and fast day hikes. For bushcrafting, trekking in warm regions or in summer conditions, it is a reliable solution that optimally combines comfort and readiness for action.
Design
The short shaft prevents excessive heat build-up while maintaining full freedom of movement. The model is ideal for multifunctional category A trekking or utility shoes and guarantees a precise fit, supported by the anatomical right/left cut and a specially shaped toe box. This provides a secure fit without pressure points during long marches.
Sole construction and padding
The TK5 Wander Short features targeted padding in the heel, ball and toe areas. These areas are particularly stressed during long periods of use and benefit from light cushioning that reduces impact and prevents pressure points. Despite the additional protection, the direct feel of the shoe is retained, which is particularly advantageous on uneven terrain or in tactical situations where sensitive footing is required. The sole construction is based on a three-layer design that ensures effective moisture management. Sweat is reliably wicked away from the foot, maintaining a dry and comfortable climate inside the shoe even during high physical exertion.
Material and workmanship
The sock is made from a sophisticated fibre blend that combines the advantages of natural and functional fibres. A high proportion of virgin wool ensures natural heat regulation, inhibits odours and keeps feet at a comfortable temperature even when temperatures fluctuate.
