The Falke TK2 Explore Cool Men is a mid-cut sock designed for emergency services personnel and outdoor enthusiasts who need reliable footwear even in hot temperatures and during high levels of activity. Optimised for light to moderate mountain terrain, it performs well in scenarios such as observation posts, patrols or hikes in the countryside.
Design
The TK2 Explore Cool Men impresses with its sophisticated design and precise fit, which is specially designed for active movement in the terrain. The calf-high cut ensures that the sock extends slightly above the shaft, guaranteeing maximum mobility in light footwear or mid-height boots, while keeping the calves warm and the heels reliably protected. Their anatomical left/right construction supports a wrinkle-free fit, reduces friction points and effectively prevents blisters, even during long marches. This is complemented by medium-thick padding, which is specifically placed on the ball of the foot and heel. It noticeably cushions impact forces without creating additional volume in the shoe.
Material mix
The high-quality material combination is designed for maximum functionality in use and ensures efficient moisture management that reliably wicks away sweat, prevents overheating and ensures a constant, dry foot climate even during long marches or in poorly ventilated shoes. Around 36% polypropylene forms the basis for a particularly quick-drying and moisture-wicking foundation that keeps the skin permanently dry. This is complemented by around 33% Lyocell, a botanically derived fibre with a cooling effect that ensures a pleasantly fresh feeling when worn. Polyamide, at around 15%, makes the structure resistant and guarantees dimensional stability even under heavy use, while a further 15% polyester additionally supports quick drying and stabilises the fabric. Finally, a small amount of elastane, around 1%, ensures flexibility and a secure fit without causing pressure points.

The sole and layer structure of the TK2 Explore Cool Men is based on a durable three-layer system that is tailored to the stresses and strains of outdoor and professional use. A functional inner layer works directly against the skin, consistently absorbing moisture and wicking it away to the outside, so that the foot stays dry even during high levels of activity. This is followed by a cushioning core that provides targeted support in the ball and heel areas and reliably cushions hard impacts without impairing direct ground feel. The outer layer is robust, ensuring stability and shape retention, and can withstand even contact with abrasive materials such as work boots or trekking boots.
