High-Capacity Tactical Backpack
Designed for reconnaissance and sniper operations, the Eberlestock Operator Pack V6 is a tactical backpack offering approximately 97.5 liters of storage capacity and an aluminum frame for load stabilization. Its carefully arranged compartments provide room for bulky equipment and complement the pack's versatile storage system.
Rifle Scabbard
The Operator accommodates a long gun in an integrated rifle scabbard that runs along the backpack. A matching rifle butt cover is also included. The scabbard is permanently attached to the pack, eliminating the need for a separate rifle case. When not required, the scabbard can be retracted into the bottom of the backpack instead of extending downward along its full length. This changes the overall profile of the pack when no long gun is being carried.
MultiLid as an Additional Carrying Option
The Operator features a MultiLid top lid that can be detached and worn as a standalone waist pack. During regular use, it forms the upper closure of the backpack. When only part of the equipment is needed, the lid can be carried separately while the main backpack stays behind. This dual-purpose component provides two functions without requiring an additional bag.
Main Compartment with Adjustable Internal Layout
The main compartment can be opened from the top and through the front panel. These two access points make it easier to reach items stored in different sections of the backpack. Equipment packed deeper inside does not necessarily have to be retrieved through the top opening. Internally, the main compartment is divided into two sections separated by a drawstring divider. When the divider is closed, it creates two independent storage areas. Opening it provides one continuous compartment for larger items or a different packing arrangement. Additional organization comes from elastic organizer pockets designed to accommodate smaller pieces of equipment. A separate compression mesh pocket is intended for a radio or hydration system. Rather than placing these items loosely among the rest of the contents, they can be stored in designated locations. The internal layout therefore accommodates both larger equipment and smaller accessories that need to be kept separate.
Side Saddle Pockets
Two saddle pockets run along the outer sides of the backpack. They can be partially folded away from the main compartment, revealing two columns of MOLLE webbing behind each pocket. Compatible accessories can be attached to these areas. The space created between the side pockets and the pack body can also accommodate elongated equipment such as a tripod. Each saddle pocket features its own compression strap, allowing one side to be tightened without affecting the adjustment of the other. Beneath the saddle pockets are pass-through openings for two horizontal straps that can be routed across the main compartment. These remain accessible regardless of how the side pockets are packed. This construction allows externally carried equipment to be secured independently of the organization inside the saddle pockets.
Compression for Varying Loads
A backpack of this size will not always be packed to full capacity. The Operator's additional compression straps allow the main pack body to be tightened around its contents, reducing unused space. They also provide further options for securing equipment externally. Combined with the side pockets and their attachment points, the compression system allows the load to be adjusted to different requirements without changing the basic compartment layout.
Stowable Rain Protection
The included rain cover is stored directly on the backpack when not in use. In wet conditions, it can be deployed and pulled over the Operator. It provides additional protection against rain and is included as standard equipment, eliminating the need for a separate purchase. After use, the cover can be stowed away again.
Sturdy Frame
The Operator's load-bearing structure is built around the Intex II aluminum frame. It stabilizes the carrying system and supports weight distribution when transporting substantial equipment loads. The frame can be exchanged for other compatible tubular frames from the Eberlestock system. This allows the frame configuration to be modified without replacing the entire backpack.
Carrying Harness
The carrying system consists of padded shoulder straps and a hip belt that distribute the weight of heavy equipment across different contact points. Quick-release buckles on the shoulder straps allow the Operator to be removed immediately, even when wearing a plate carrier. For handling the backpack off the body, side-mounted carry handles provide additional gripping points. They make it possible to lift or reposition the pack without having to put it back on the shoulders.
