  Technical weather protection pants for extreme conditions

  The Loftshell Hydro Pants are part of Carinthia’s advanced Loftshell series and have been designed as a weather-resistant gear component for demanding outdoor use. These weather protection pants combine a high-performance laminate with a sophisticated moisture management system, delivering a rugged equipment solution for challenging environments. Whether on multi-day expeditions, in cold and wet terrain, or during tactical outdoor operations – the pants provide dependable protection, thermal consistency, and excellent freedom of movement.

  Material structure & protective performance

  The construction is based on a 2-layer ripstop laminate with a durable outer shell made of 100% polyamide. A long-lasting water-repellent finish combined with fully taped seams ensures complete waterproof and windproof protection, even under heavy rain and extended exposure.
  
  The outer fabric is tear- and abrasion-resistant while maintaining a low noise profile – ideal for stealth movement or use in camp settings. Weighing approx. 800 g (size M), the pants offer a favorable balance between protection and wearability.

  G-LOFT Climate Lining

  Inside, the innovative G-LOFT Climate Lining provides optimized moisture regulation. It combines air-permeable polyamide fabric with a thin, quilted G-LOFT layer. This design effectively draws moisture away from the body and distributes it across a wide surface area, allowing for faster transfer through the membrane. The result: reduced cold spots, a stable microclimate beneath the shell layer, and noticeably enhanced comfort during physically active use.

  Technical features & details

  The Loftshell Hydro Pants feature four functionally placed pockets, including two large-volume thigh pockets with weather-shielded access. Full-length side zippers up to the waistband enable targeted ventilation or quick on/off transitions – even over boots or midlayers. Removable and individually adjustable suspenders ensure a secure fit during movement-intensive activities. Integrated boot hooks prevent the legs from riding up and guarantee a clean, sealed connection to footwear.

  Designed for professional-grade outdoor operations, the Loftshell Hydro Pants deliver wherever weather protection, functionality, and comfort must work together – whether on highland expeditions, bushcraft in wet environments, or alpine rescue operations. Paired with the Loftshell Hydro Jacket, they form a complete weather protection system with enhanced climate performance. Thanks to their durable construction and effective moisture management, the pants are also well-suited for prolonged use in real-world field conditions.
