  Carinthia's proven cold protection jacket from the High Insulation Garment series, available in German 5-color camouflage, is primarily issued to mountain troops and commando soldiers of special forces for official use. It is specifically designed for deployment scenarios in temperatures as low as -20°C. Carinthia deliberately omits unnecessary elements in the military version of the tested HIG Jacket, combining superior functionality with outstanding design in a practical package that fully convinces professional forces that must deliver uncompromising performance even in icy cold conditions.

  Intentionally simplified

  The intentionally simplified design of this state-of-the-art and equally high-quality jacket, achieved through a streamlined cut with fewer seams, promotes intuitive handling and ensures limited susceptibility to performance-reducing defects in the field.
  

  Weatherproof in the field

  The Carinthia HIG Jacket 5-Color Flecktarn, made of windproof and waterresistant material, features an integrated hood that can be stowed in the collar, fully compatible with all common helmets. It also includes fleece wrist warmers with practical thumb holes, keeping hands comfortably warm even with thin gloves. The jacket has a concealed 2-way front zipper with an integrated flap to minimize heat loss in challenging conditions. Inside, the HIG Jacket has two generously sized Napoleon pockets made of mesh fabric, ideal for drying soaked gloves or inserting useful heat pads when needed.
  

  Optimized thermal management

  The current service jacket of the German Armed Forces ensures optimal thermal insulation and powerful climate regulation even in extremely wet and cold weather, thanks to the ultra-warm G-LOFT Si, 145g/m² filling. Carinthia's patented G-LOFT material combines the impressive advantages of natural down with the durability of modern synthetic fibers.

  Service-specific loop areas with dimensions of 6 x 11.5 cm on the upper arms allow for the attachment of rank and insignia, while pockets with concealed zippers provide secure storage for easily accessible accessories and mission-critical equipment.

  Size advice

  The HIG Jacket SpezKr was developed for military use and features a slimmer fit compared to the civilian HIG Jacket. If you plan to wear midlayers or thicker clothing underneath, we recommend choosing one size up. For direct use with lighter base layers, your regular size should be sufficient.
