  The long-awaited update to the Rush24 classic - full-featured functionality

  
  
  The update to the Rush series was perhaps one of the events at 5.11 Tactical that was most eagerly anticipated in 2021. After all, the classic is one of the best sellers in the range and with its many tactical features a go-to for shorter missions, day trips or even trekking tours with little luggage. The new Rush24 2.0, here in double tap, now shows what it can do: With even better packing options and compartments, but especially with a padded laptop compartment, the daypack has been civilized, so to speak. There is now really no reason why the backpack can not also serve as an office backpack.
  
  

  Rugged, with plenty of space and now even with laptop compartment

  
  The Rush24 2.0 is made from the tactical CORDURA 1050 den, making it not only exceptionally rugged, but also waterproof. No matter how nasty the weather, the inside stays dry. The 37 liter backpack has space for quite a bit of clothing and equipment: the main compartment with the dimensions 50 x 32 x 20 has its new,padded notebook compartment for a laptop up to 15" at the back. The compartment for a hydration system is also located here on the back, the outlet is routed to the back. On the inside of the flap are two mesh pockets where electronics or charging cables can be stored. A compartment for a pair of glasses is padded with foam to prevent annoying incidents when the backpack is fully packed.
  
  Additional storage is available on the front, where two zippered front pockets organize small items. The lower, large front pocket can sort quite a bit of EDC items inside in slip pockets and a zippered pocket, and it also hides the second new feature of the Rush backpacks: behind the front compartment lies a hidden hook-and-loop compartment for discreet storage of documents and more sensitive gear.
  
  

  M.O.L.L.E. for functionality and design

  
  Equipment can, of course, be attached to the M.O.L.L.E. strips as you would expect from a tactical operations backpack. 5.11 Tactical has not been lukewarm here and attached the M.O.L.L.E system on the entire front as well as on the sides and on the bottom plate of the daypack. The tactical look is a signature move from 5.11: the Centre Line Design that results from the converging webbing stripes is a natural part of the look for fans of 5.11.
  
  5.11 has also made no changes to the carrying system, relying on the established combination of an ergonomically shaped and reinforced back panel with padded shoulder straps. If more stability is desired, the narrow chest strap can be closed so that the two shoulder straps provide a firmer frame.
  
  The Rush24 in its 2.0 version is indeed an upgrade, whether it comes along for camping, trekking, or on an undercover tactical mission, or it goes along with the day-to-day madness of hauling all the technical contingencies safely to the next meeting. In any case, there's room for a sweater and jacket, a sandwich and a laptop. In the discreet civilian color double tap one of the undercover favorites of the series.
