Material Construction & Weather Protection
The outer shell, made of 100% polyamide with a polyurethane membrane, forms a durable barrier against cold, wind, and light precipitation. Its combination of windproof, water-repellent, and naturally elastic properties ensures complete freedom of movement even during demanding activity. The material has been optimized for abrasion resistance and a low-noise texture—ideal for covert operations and tactical field work.
While not a dedicated rain jacket, the Delta ML Gen.3 handles light snow and drizzle with ease. For harsher weather, it integrates perfectly as a mid-layer beneath the Monsoon XT shell.Thermal System & Climate Comfort
At its core, an 80 g/m² G-LOFT insulation provides consistent warmth. This synthetic hollow-fibre fill retains its loft and efficiency even when damp. The inner lining made of 100% polyester with 37.5-fibre technology actively transports moisture away from the body, maintaining a balanced microclimate. The result is an ideal equilibrium between thermal retention and breathability—crucial for comfort during prolonged activity or physical exertion.
Fit & Freedom of Movement
The anatomical cut is purpose-built for professional gear integration. Its close-fitting profile minimizes excess bulk, allowing seamless wear beneath ballistic protection or outer shells. Integrated Flex/Zone stretch panels at the back deliver unrestricted mobility while maintaining thermal stability. Detachable wrist warmers with chronometer openings grant direct access to watches or devices without compromising insulation—a functional detail for precision in cold conditions.
Hood System & Modularity
The redesigned Hood/Harness system moves in sync with the wearer’s head, ensuring an unobstructed field of view even in adverse weather. A reinforced brim shields against snow and rain, while the microfleece lining adds wind-blocking insulation. Both the hood and wrist warmers are fully removable and can be compactly stored in the large internal pocket—perfect for modular layering setups or wear under a hardshell jacket.
Storage & Equipment Features
With seven functional pockets, the Delta ML Gen.3 provides a well-organized storage system: two large front pockets with ventilation options, an internal back pocket for detachable components, and multiple internal compartments for documents, writing tools, or communication devices. All zippers are covered, quiet, and operable with gloves—ideal for low-profile movements and tactical precision in the field.
Operational Range
The jacket is optimized for cold and variable conditions within a temperature range of 0 °C to –10 °C. Combined with the Monsoon XT Gen.2 hardshell, it becomes a complete weather protection system capable of withstanding sustained precipitation and strong winds.
Delta ML Gen.3 vs. Gen.2
Compared to the Gen.2, the Delta ML Gen.3 has been extensively refined to deliver greater adaptability, comfort, and tactical functionality in winter conditions.
The most striking upgrade is the fully detachable Hood/Harness system—a functional hood that zips off to simplify layering under a hardshell. While the previous version included no hood, the Gen.3 now provides full modular flexibility.
Also new are the detachable wrist warmers, which were fixed in the Gen.2. They can now be removed and conveniently stored, together with the hood, in the newly added integrated inner pocket—the Smart Storage Pocket not present in the earlier version.
The pocket layout has been completely re-engineered: the front pockets now feature two-way access and improved ventilation, complemented by a spacious lower-back pocket. This enhances airflow, improves accessibility, and increases overall carrying capacity.Finally, fit and comfort have been optimized: repositioned stretch panels and refined lining placement improve freedom of movement and layering compatibility, resulting in an even more ergonomic and versatile cold-weather jacket for professional use.
