The Thyrm DarkVault 2.0 is an evolution of the original DarkVault, specifically designed for using smartphones under extreme conditions. While the original DarkVault serves as a universal gear case for sensitive equipment, the DarkVault 2.0 allows smartphones to be easily attached to plate carriers and chest rigs. This enables quick and unobstructed use of the smartphone for tactical navigation, ballistic information, or ad-hoc mesh communication. The need for bulky smartphone cases is eliminated, as the DarkVault 2.0 is compatible with standard phone cases.Smartphone compatibility
Thyrm has designed the phone mount and viewing window of the DarkVault 2.0 to be compatible with most smartphones available on the market, including those from Samsung, Apple, and Google.

Most phone cases marketed as "Slim," "Sleek," or "Minimalist" are compatible, and even some cases labeled as "Shockproof" or "Military Grade" fit well. However, cases that consist of two parts (top/bottom), with bumpers, kickstands, rings, or those with sliding camera covers are generally too large.
When in doubt, it is advisable to compare the dimensions of the specific case with the measurements provided here.
