  Rescue backpack for Mass Casualties

  Among the Tasmanian Tiger novelties of the year 2023, the TT Medic Mascal Pack has the greatest tactical impact, because TT has developed it over the past years together with special units to the special requirements of a Mass Casualty operation and optimised it with care and constant review.

  An operation that calls for the care of Mass Casualties has as its basis the location of the operation and casualty situation in chaotic situations and panicking crowds. The main objective is to quickly provide initial care to the casualties with minimal resources, categorise them for transport and flag them for further rescue by arriving responders.

  Four distributable IFAK pouches

  The TT Mascal Pack has been designed for these missions. The backpack made of Cordura 700 den measures 46 x 28 x 10 cm and can be packed with a total volume of 19 litres. Organisational options for medical equipment on the inside and laser-cut M.O.L.L.E strips on the outside and on all important fastening surfaces make the first aid backpack individually packable as usual. A scissor pocket is incorporated for the safe storage of scissors.

  The four IFAK pouches on the front of the emergency backpack provide a particularly short response time for first aid. The small pouches can be removed and distributed via the M.O.L.L.E. quick release system. In this way, first aid material can be thrown or quickly distributed to injured persons even in confusing situations.

  Colour-coded marking

  Hook-and-loop strips with the inscription TAG and ATM are included for marking the rucksack at the bottom edge for identification of the special teams. Also included are four colour markings indicating the international colour codes for casualties and their care situation: Markers in the colours green, yellow, red and black are included to indicate minor injuries to irrecoverable injuries according to the colour coding.

  The backpack is carries with a lightweight carrying system and can be quickly grasped by the handle. The empty backpack weighs 820 grams; when fully loaded with all pouches, it weighs 1.84 kilos.
