Slim Tactical EDC Flashlight
The NITECORE EDC23 Saber is an ultra-compact, high-performance flashlight designed for law enforcement, military personnel, and experienced outdoor operators. Delivering up to 2,500 lumens in a body measuring just 102.8 mm, it offers an impressive beam distance of up to 280 meters. Whether in tactical operations, patrol duties, or daily carry, it stands out through its compact form factor and outstanding light output.
Construction
The housing of the EDC23 Saber consists of a two-part stainless steel frame, combined with a fiber-reinforced polymer frame and an aluminum heat plate. This construction ensures high structural strength while efficiently dissipating heat. Thanks to the PVD coating on the steel, the body is highly scratch- and corrosion-resistant. With compact dimensions and a weight of just 101 g, the light is extremely portable and lightweight.
Its flat profile ensures comfortable carry in pockets, gear pouches, or vehicles. At the same time, the premium materials provide reliable durability—even after repeated drops from up to 2 meters.

At its core, the EDC23 uses two NiteLab UHi 25 LEDs, producing a combined output of up to 2,500 lumens. This LED setup, together with the optimized optics, delivers a beam distance of up to 280 meters with a peak beam intensity of 20,720 cd.
Light Regulation
The flashlight is equipped with an advanced temperature management system. The ATR thermal regulation adjusts output based on heat buildup, protecting the electronics and LEDs during high-output operation. An additional proximity sensor prevents overheating: if the beam is obstructed, the light automatically dims to avoid excessive heat.
Operation
Two switches allow precise control. A round tail button provides instant access to Turbo or Strobe, while a mode switch cycles through the remaining brightness levels. A Rapid-Lock slider on the side offers full or partial lockout to prevent accidental activation.
OLED Display
The integrated OLED display provides real-time information on brightness level, remaining runtime, and battery status. This enables precise mission plannin - especially during extended operations or when gear weight matters.
Power Supply & Runtimes
Equipped with a built-in 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery, the EDC23 can be conveniently charged via USB-C. This modern charging option is ideal for mobile setups or tactical equipment kits. Across its multiple lighting modes, the flashlight offers runtimes of up to 39 hours—ensuring dependable illumination during long missions.
