  The Nitecore NWE10 is an electronic emergency whistle that produces an acoustic signal of up to 126 dB at the push of a button. Its applications range from hiking and camping to trail running and mountaineering.

  Construction

  Compact Housing

  Weighing just 38 g and measuring 65 x 32 x 33 mm, the NWE10 takes up very little space on a backpack or other equipment. The plastic housing features an integrated clip and attachment eyelet. An additional OUTDOCK mount is included, which is compatible with MOLLE systems. This provides various attachment options, such as mounting the device on a shoulder strap or backpack, keeping it within easy reach.

  Protection for Outdoor Use

  The electronic whistle is IPX7 waterproof and can withstand drops from heights of up to one meter. Its construction also takes low temperatures into account. The cold-resistant battery enables operation at temperatures as low as -40 °C. This makes the NWE10 particularly suitable for trips in cold regions and changing weather conditions.

  Signal Modes

  The direct signal is activated at the push of a button and reaches a maximum volume of 126 dB. In SOS Mode, the emergency signaling device automatically repeats the audible warning signal. The Beacon Mode, on the other hand, provides an acoustic means of marking a location. This function can help with orientation within a group or locating a campsite. The choice between direct signaling and automatic modes allows for different applications.

  Battery and Charging

  The NWE10 is powered by a built-in 300 mAh lithium-ion battery. Both SOS Mode and Beacon Mode offer a runtime of up to 80 hours each. Charging is carried out via a USB-C port. The device does not need to be switched off during charging and can continue to operate while connected to a power source.

  Operation

  The acoustic warning function is activated directly by pressing a button. When signals need to be repeated continuously, the corresponding automatic modes take over this task. The NWE10 therefore offers different acoustic signaling options for emergencies and location marking.
