Revised Field Trousers for Duty and Operational Use
The Leo Köhler KSK Field Trousers 2.0 5-Colour Flecktarn retain the proven construction of classic field trousers while adding several practical updates. The focus is not on major visual changes, but on functional details that improve everyday wear, equipment organization and overall adaptability.
Material
The KSK Field Trousers 2.0 are made from a durable blended fabric consisting of 65% cotton and 35% polyester. The cotton provides a comfortable feel, while the polyester content supports the fabric’s durability and resistance to regular wear. This makes the trousers suitable for frequent use during duty, training and outdoor activities.
Design
The classic 5-colour Flecktarn preserves the familiar character of Bundeswehr field clothing. The cut and basic construction remain deliberately straightforward and follow the concept of functional combat trousers that can be worn with a belt as well as in combination with additional tactical equipment.
Side Pockets
One of the most important changes compared with the original KSK Field Trousers concerns the two side pockets. They are secured with zippers and 28 mm slotted buttons. This provides additional security for the contents while the zippers allow direct access. Inside each pocket is an elastic strap for organizing smaller items. Equipment that should not move freely inside the pocket can therefore be kept more securely in place. Especially during movement, this is a simple but practical addition.
Pocket Retention
The pocket system has also been improved on the outside. Each side pocket features a strap made from the outer fabric with an adjustment buckle. This allows the pockets to be secured closer to the thigh. When heavily loaded, unwanted movement of the pockets can be reduced and the weight carried closer to the body. Adjustment is made directly at the buckle and can be adapted to the amount of equipment carried. With a light load, the pocket can be kept tighter against the leg, while more space can be allowed when carrying larger items.
Adjustable Waist
For individual fit adjustment, the Leo Köhler KSK Field Trousers 2.0 feature a buttonhole elastic adjustment band inside the waistband. This allows the waist width to be adjusted within the intended range without requiring additional external adjustment straps. This is particularly useful when the trousers are worn with different layers of clothing.
Adjustable Leg Cuffs
The 2.0 version also offers more adjustment options at the lower leg. An integrated drawcord with cord lock allows the leg opening to be tightened or loosened as required. This means the trousers can, for example, be worn more closely around combat boots without having to tie the drawcord manually.
With the Leo Köhler KSK Field Trousers 2.0, the updates focus on areas that are genuinely useful in the field. This makes the trousers suitable for professional duty and training as well as tactical training, bushcraft and other demanding outdoor applications.
