  The Swagman Roll Basic from Helikon-Tex is a versatile and functional solution for mobile cold protection in the field. Developed as a cost-effective alternative to the original Swagman Roll, its design is based on classic M65 liners, but with essential tactical upgrades. Whether used as an emergency jacket, sleeping bag substitute, blanket, or hammock quilt – this module provides reliable warmth across a wide range of field scenarios.

  Durable Polyester Fabric with Efficient Insulation

  Both the outer material and inner lining are made entirely of 100% polyester, making the model both durable and easy to maintain. The robust synthetic insulation with a grammage of 150 g/m² delivers dependable thermal performance even in damp conditions. This material combination ensures a balanced ratio of heat retention, weight, and pack size.

  Fit and Hood

  When fully deployed, the Swagman Roll Basic measures 205 x 140 cm and weighs just 979 g, making it a compact and easy-to-carry piece of gear. When compressed, the pack size is only 32 x 20 x 20 cm. The integrated hood with drawstring provides reliable protection against windchill, while the front buckle closure ensures a snug fit when worn in poncho mode.

  Modular Application and Tactical Flexibility

  Thanks to the full-length zipper, the model can quickly be converted into a sleeping bag or an additional insulation layer.
