Leather Tactical Boot for Professional Duty
The HAIX Black Eagle EVO Tactical GTX Mid Black combines a robust leather construction with the agile character of a modern mid-cut duty boot, making it well suited for demanding workdays and changing operational conditions.
Construction
Water-Repellent Leather and Textile
For the upper, HAIX uses a combination of leather and textile. The leather is 1.6 to 1.8 mm thick, hydrophobic and breathable. This gives the tactical boot a durable exterior, while the textile sections complement the construction. High-wear areas around the toe and heel are additionally reinforced.
A surrounding rubber rand provides additional protection around the lower part of the boot. It creates a robust barrier in areas that are particularly exposed when moving across uneven terrain or coming into contact with edges and other objects.
Mid-Cut Design with Stable Heel Guidance
With a shaft height of 13 cm, the Black Eagle EVO Tactical GTX Mid falls into the mid-cut category. A durable TPU heel component provides additional stability at the rear and supports a secure heel fit.
The boot also features an adaptive heel counter. Over time, it adapts to the individual shape of the heel bone, creating a closer connection between the foot and the boot. This allows the boot to be guided more precisely through the heel during foot strike. At the same time, the ergonomically shaped last gives the foot sufficient room to move naturally while walking.
Weather Protection
GORE-TEX
The lining features GORE-TEX Most Breathable Footwear. This makes the HAIX Black Eagle EVO Tactical GTX Mid permanently waterproof while remaining breathable. An abrasion-resistant lining complements the membrane and is designed to provide a high level of climate comfort. The construction is particularly suitable for working conditions that involve frequent transitions between indoor and outdoor environments. Even in warmer temperatures, the lining is designed to promote effective moisture transport.
HAIX Climate System
The HAIX Climate System provides additional support for moisture management. It uses the natural pumping action generated while walking. Moisture is moved towards the top of the shaft and transported to the outside through the Micro-Dry lining positioned there. Each step therefore contributes to air circulation and moisture exchange inside the boot.
Sun Reflect
Another distinctive feature of the Tactical model is HAIX Sun Reflect. This feature reduces the heating effect on the upper leather caused by direct sunlight by reflecting sunlight from the leather surface. Especially during extended periods outdoors, this technology complements the boot's overall climate-management concept.
Footbed
Cushioning with AIRFLOW Channels
The footbed is designed for comfort and cushioning while also wicking moisture away from the foot. A separate heel cup provides additional cushioning and supports foot guidance. Integrated AIRFLOW channels with recycled PU foam promote air circulation inside the boot. Beneath the footbed is an additional moisture-absorbing nonwoven insole board. Moisture management is therefore supported by several components within the boot construction rather than by the lining alone.
HAIX Vario Wide Fit System
The HAIX Vario Wide Fit System allows the internal width of the Black Eagle EVO Tactical GTX Mid to be adapted to different foot shapes. Three differently designed footbeds are available for this purpose.
As standard, the boot is supplied with the red Medium footbed. Those requiring additional room can use the separately available yellow Wide version. A blue Narrow footbed is available for narrower feet. This allows the fit to be adjusted without having to switch to a different boot model.
Please note: Only the red Medium footbed is included with the boot. The yellow Wide and blue Narrow footbeds are available separately.
XLR8 Technologies
Under the XLR8 concept, HAIX combines several technologies designed to enhance performance, control and endurance. Heel guidance, sole cushioning and last construction work together to provide controlled movement while keeping the foot stable without unnecessarily restricting freedom of movement.
Reforce
The Reforce technology uses a targeted rotational movement of the heel bone. This impulse supports the alignment of the foot arch. Together with the adaptive heel counter, it creates a construction in which heel support and foot guidance are closely coordinated.
Cushioning and Energy Return
Cushioning is also part of the XLR8 concept. During foot strike, the sole construction absorbs energy and stores part of it. This energy is then released again during push-off. The result is balanced cushioning that supports the athletic walking characteristics of the Black Eagle EVO Tactical GTX Mid.
Sole Construction
Rubber/PU Outsole
The rubber/PU sole is designed for a variety of operational conditions. It is fuel-resistant, heat- and cold-insulating, and non-marking. The tread design and specialist rubber compound also provide very good slip resistance across different types of terrain.
A lightweight and elastic PU midsole provides cushioning. In the heel area, the PU extends further upwards to add stability to the rear of the boot. At the toe, the material is also raised to provide additional protection.
HAIX Anti Slip
The HAIX Anti Slip system combines the outsole tread with a specially engineered rubber compound. This combination provides very good grip on different surfaces and is particularly useful when ground conditions change frequently during an operation or working day.
HAIX Absorption
An additional cushioning wedge is integrated directly into the sole. The HAIX Absorption System complements the cushioning provided by the footbed and midsole while absorbing part of the impact generated during foot strike.
HAIX CO-System
The HAIX CO-System combines several ergonomic functions. These include pressure relief and cushioning as well as support and correction of foot positioning. Body alignment and muscular balance are also incorporated into the system.
HAIX Arch Support System
The HAIX Arch Support System provides support in the midfoot area. It supports the natural arch of the midfoot while leaving sufficient room for the toes and ball of the foot. The construction therefore combines targeted foot guidance with freedom of movement in the forefoot.
HAIX Smart Lacing
Lacing does not need to be complicated during operational use. The HAIX Smart Lacing System allows the boot to be adjusted smoothly and without excessive pressure. The quick-release fastener makes it easy to tighten and adjust the lacing quickly.
The laces can then be stored inside the integrated lace pocket. This closed lacing system prevents loose laces from hanging freely while maintaining a clean and streamlined construction.
With a weight of approximately 600 g per boot, a metal-free construction, quick-release lacing and a slip-resistant sole design, the boot maintains an agile character suited to professional use. The Black Eagle EVO Tactical GTX Mid is made in Europe.
