  Superior cold protection with reduced IR signature

  The revolutionary 4th generation cold protection jacket was developed in close cooperation with military special forces and police forces and has numerous new functional features. Due to the new, IR-treated surface and the optimized cut without superfluous outer seams in the chest area, the MIG 4.0 has an infrared signature reduced to a minimum. The wind- and water-repellent outer material with ePFTE membrane and the newly designed hood, which is adjustable in two directions, make the MIG 4.0 absolutely weather-independent. High wearing comfort, robust durability and optimum protection continue to characterise this multifunctional jacket. A newly placed elastic waistband in the collar prevents the penetration of cold air or icy snow, and the Carinthia ISO Mapping technology now used noticeably increases the thermal performance of this proven cold protection jacket.
  
  

  Carinthia ISO Mapping Technology

  The Carinthia ISO Mapping technology helps the body to build up heat where it is needed. This is achieved by zoning the body regions. Each body region has a different heat radiation behaviour. Carinthia ISO Mapping builds on this phenomenon and divides the body into different heat zones.

  The innovative G-LOFT insulation technology meets the highest standards and sets new benchmarks. For the first time, it permanently combines the outstanding thermal properties of natural down with the durability of synthetic fibers.   Size Note

  The Carinthia MIG 4.0 Jacket tends to run slightly large. For a looser fit that allows for layering, we recommend choosing your regular size. If you prefer a closer fit and/or are between sizes, you may consider sizing down. Feel free to use the sizing chart in our image gallery for reference.
  
  

  LIG, MIG or HIG – The right choice for every mission

  The LIG 4.0 is a minimalist jacket, ideal as a midlayer or for mild, dry winter days down to around -5 °C. It offers basic weather protection and good mobility, but only light insulation and no reduced infrared signature. The MIG 4.0, on the other hand, is a well-balanced all-rounder with an insulated hood, a practical pocket layout, and solid insulation down to -15 °C. It is well-suited for demanding outdoor activities in cold conditions and rugged enough for tactical use – featuring IRR protection and CORDURA reinforcements. The HIG 4.0 is the warmest of the three jackets, featuring an extended cut, and superior cold protection down to -20 °C. It is especially suitable for prolonged exposure to extreme cold, such as during static operations or expeditions.
  
  

  Note on use for hunting

  The Carinthia MIG 4.0 Jacket is designed for maximum thermal performance, durability, and weather protection – ideal for tactical operations and demanding outdoor activities. However, due to its technical outer material, it produces a noticeable rustling sound when moving, which makes it less suitable for hunting or other noise-sensitive situations.
  
  For hunting purposes, we therefore recommend Carinthia’s specially developed Loden jacket. It combines natural noise suppression with excellent insulation and the trusted Carinthia quality – perfect for stalking and waiting in cold conditions.

  Die Jacke ist aufgrund ihres Tragekomforts sowie der Wärmeregulierung einfach das beste was ich je hatte. Sowas von leicht und bequem. Auch die Kaputze passt perfekt und tut was sie soll. Einziges Manko ist der Reißverschluss. Der Reißverschluss ist dermaßen schmal und feingliedrig, dass er sich oft erst nach mehreren Versuchen vernünftig schließen bzw. einfädeln lässt. Ich hatte gehofft, dass sich das nach mehrmaligem Gebrauch bessern würde. Das ist leider nicht der Fall. Bei meiner Internetrecherche zu dem Thema konnte ich mehrere Beiträge zum gleichen Problem finden. Ich frage mich, warum Carinthia nicht einfach einen robusteren Reißverschluss einnähen lässt. Die armen Soldaten tun mir echt leid, wenn sie mit ihren klammen und verschmutzten Fingern versuchen, die Jacke zu schließen. Aufgrund dessen nur 4 von 5 möglichen Sternen.   Die Jacke entspricht der umfangreichen Beschreibung und meine Erwartungen wurden vollumfänglich erfüllt. Sehr gute Passform 181 cm/ 78 kg - Größe M! Ich nutze die Jacke dienstlich und auch privat. Erstklassiger Händler - Unkompliziert und zuverlässig. Klare Empfehlung!

  Vorab möchte ich sagen, ich bin als Frau gesegnet mit sehr langen Armen, und muss daher immer auf Männer Modelle zugrückgreifen damit die Jacken bzw Ärmel nicht zu kurz sind! Gekauft habe ich also die Oliv Carinthia Mig4.0 in der Größe S. Passform wie angegeben, fällt etwas größer aus daher nahm ich Größe S. (Ansonsten auch bei Männer Gr. meistens Größe M wegen der Ärmellängen!) Verarbeitung, Optik, Multifunktionalität und das durchdachte System der Jacke sind definitiv eine 5/5!!! Die Reißverschlüsse, Nähte, Knöpfe sind bestens verarbeitet und halten was sie versprechen. Die erste nächtliche Wanderung bei -5° verlief (erstaunlicherweise) ohne frieren oder kalte stellen. (obwohl ich Kalte stellen an den Reißverschlüssen erwartete; ich bin bewusst ohne etwas darunter raus gegangen.) Für MICH persönlich als Frau, der die breite bzw Masse eines Mannes fehlt, gibts aber einen Stern Abzug, da mir beim Beugen der Arme der Reißverschluss auf der Oberseite des Ärmels leicht drückt (getestet mit dünnem Sweater darunter)! Ich weiß, es ist ein Männer Modell, daher ist das rein für mich ein Punkt Abzug - zumal man die Jacke ja überwiegend im Winter an hat, und dort etwas darunter hat! Ansonsten direkte Kaufempfehlung, ich bereue wirklich keinen Cent dieser Jacke, egal wie Stürmisch sich Hamburg zeigt, mit dieser Jacke pfeift es nirgends rein, und die eisige kälte meiner Fichtelgebirgischen Heimat kann mir auch nichts mehr anhaben.   Super Flaggschiff für den Winter. Schützt vor Nässe, Kälte und Wind. Wegen der hohen Isolationswirkung natürlich kein Ersatz für eine Regenjacke. Aber weicht nicht durch, auch wenn es tagsüber regnet und dann nachts gefriert. Einfach super Klassiker. Die 4.0 ist meiner Meinung nach vor allem wegen des Kragens eine Verbesserung zur 3.0.   Ich bin 193 cm groß und mit ~87 kg sportlich gebaut. Ich habe die Jacke in der Größe XL. Die Kundenbetreuung war sehr gut, freundlich und konnte mir schnell antworten. Die Lieferung war ab Bestellung innerhalb von 2 Tagen bei mir. Die Jacke selbst ist Top! Super Verarbeitung und sehr angenehm zu tragen. Habe die Jacke jetzt seit 2 Wochen in täglicher Benutzung und seitdem habe ich nicht mehr gefroren. Auch bei einer längeren Zeit von 3 Tagen im Wald bei 0° hat sie sehr gut gewärmt.
