  Cold protection fortress

  The focus of concept and development of the popular Carinthia cold protection jacket in next generation was mainly on the revolutionary IR Camo. By optimizing the cut, reducing the outer seams and using the most advanced materials, Carinthia succeeded in reducing the critical IR signature to an absolute minimum.
  
  

  Even in the most adverse weather conditions

  The new HIG 4.0 is an exceptional and extremely resistant cold protection jacket that is ideal for all dynamic activities at temperatures as low as -20°C. It is also ideal for use in the most extreme conditions. Carinthia's 4.0 series has been further developed in close cooperation with military units and police special forces and the Carinthia ISO Mapping technology now in use noticeably increases the thermal performance of this proven cold weather jacket. The water-repellent outer material and the 3-way adjustable hood, which can be stowed away in the collar, make this high-performance multifunctional jacket independent of all weather influences and ensure that this exceptional jacket is completely convincing even in the most adverse weather conditions.

  Carinthia ISO Mapping Technology helps the body to build up heat where it is needed. This is achieved by a zoning of the body's regions. Each body region has a different heat radiation behavior. Carinthia ISO Mapping builds exactly on this phenomenon and divides the body into different heat zones.

  The innovative G-LOFT insulation technology meets the highest standards and sets new benchmarks. For the first time, it permanently combines the outstanding thermal properties of natural down with the durability of synthetic fibers. Thanks to its unique memory effect, G-LOFT insulation always returns to its original warming shape, even after frequent washing and heavy use. This ensures optimal heat insulation and effective climate regulation for both indoor and outdoor environments.
  
  

  LIG, MIG or HIG – The right choice for every mission

  The LIG 4.0 is a minimalist jacket, ideal as a midlayer or for mild, dry winter days down to around -5 °C. It offers basic weather protection and good mobility, but only light insulation and no reduced infrared signature. The MIG 4.0, on the other hand, is a well-balanced all-rounder with an insulated hood, a practical pocket layout, and solid insulation down to -15 °C. It is well-suited for demanding outdoor activities in cold conditions and rugged enough for tactical use – featuring IRR protection and CORDURA reinforcements. The HIG 4.0 is the warmest of the three jackets, featuring an extended cut, and superior cold protection down to -20 °C. It is especially suitable for prolonged exposure to extreme cold, such as during static operations or expeditions.

  Size recommendation

  The Carinthia HIG 4.0 Jacket tends to run slightly large. For a looser fit that allows for layering, we recommend choosing your regular size. If you prefer a closer fit and/or are between sizes, you may consider sizing down.
  
  

  Note on use for hunting

  The Carinthia HIG 4.0 Jacket is designed for maximum thermal performance, durability, and weather protection – ideal for tactical operations and demanding outdoor activities. However, due to its technical outer material, it produces a noticeable rustling sound when moving, which makes it less suitable for hunting or other noise-sensitive situations.
  
  For hunting purposes, we therefore recommend Carinthia’s specially developed Loden jacket. It combines natural noise suppression with excellent insulation and the trusted Carinthia quality – perfect for stalking and waiting in cold conditions.

  CARINTHIA Produkte, haben so ihre Probleme mit Reißverschlüssen. Abgesehen davon sind die Produkte ungeschlagen in der Preissequenz. Wie bei jedem Produkt, wenn man es Pflegt, hält es Ewig. Die Jacke ist robust, bequem und Hochwertig verarbeitet. Mehrere Jahre in Benutzung und auch bei -20° schon getestet worden und nicht gefroren. Im deutschen Winter reicht ein T-Shirt als Unterbekleidung. Die Ärmelbänder gefallen mir am meisten, so zieht kein Wind rein und ich kann trotzdem meine Uhr lesen. Ich werde es nicht müssen aber ich würde sie wieder kaufen und jedem Empfehlen. En montrer plus Montrer moins

  Die Jacke erfüllt ihren Zweck als Kälteschutzjacke sehr gut! Sie hält ordentlich warm und bietet eine sehr gute Bewegungsfreiheit. Was allerdings alles andere als zufriedenstellend ist, der Reißverschluss. Musste den Verschluss beim Schneider anpassen lassen, da dieser beim öffnen stets verhakte und die Jacke sich nicht öffnen ließ. Bei einer Jacke zu diesem Preis kann und darf man besseres erwarten.
