The Balaclava 400 is an ideal choice for protection against the cold under extreme conditions or during low physical activity. It combines the outstanding natural properties of Merino wool with the durability of polyamide, offering enhanced thermal performance due to the higher material density. Compared to the Balaclava 200, it retains more heat, making it especially suitable for icy temperatures.
Versatile opening
The Balaclava 400 features a carefully designed single opening that can be flexibly adjusted to comprehensively protect the facial area while leaving just the eye area exposed. Depending on individual ventilation requirements, the lower edge of the opening can be moved below the nose or mouth, allowing for optimal air circulation without compromising protection.
Extended neck protection
A specially extended neck area provides additional protection against cold and wind by creating an extra layer of insulation around the neck and throat. This design helps to ideally preserve warmth even under extreme weather conditions.
Material composition for peak performance
The blend of 70% Merino wool and 30% polyamide combines the best properties of both materials. Merino wool is known for its excellent temperature-regulating properties, its ability to effectively wick moisture away from the body, and its natural resistance to odors. Polyamide enhances the structure, adding extra durability and elasticity. The Ullfrotté Original with a weight of 400 grams makes this balaclava particularly suitable for scenarios with little movement or very low temperatures.
