Weatherproof and Stable Boot
A duty boot does not necessarily have to be heavy or rigid. The HAIX Black Eagle EVO Athletic V GTX Mid takes a more athletic approach: a mid-height shaft, flexible construction and a sole design engineered for cushioning and controlled rolling motion. At the same time, the footwear is completely metal-free. This keeps it comfortably flexible even during extended wear while meeting the requirements of a modern occupational shoe for changing working conditions.
Construction
Robust Material Combination
Suede leather and textile are combined to form the upper. The suede leather/textile combination provides stability in areas exposed to greater stress while maintaining the flexibility expected from an athletically designed duty shoe.
Mid-Height Cut
The 13 cm high shaft clearly classifies the Black Eagle EVO Athletic V GTX Mid as a mid-height duty shoe. It extends high enough to provide additional support for the foot and heel while remaining significantly more flexible than a traditional high-cut duty boot. A TPU heel component is integrated to stabilize the heel.
The rear heel counter is also designed to be flexible rather than rigid. Over time, it adapts to the individual shape of the heel bone. This adaptive heel counter improves the connection between the shoe and the heel. The ergonomically designed last, meanwhile, gives the foot space wherever freedom of movement is required.
Waterproof Lining
GORE-TEX
The integrated GORE-TEX Most Breathable Footwear technology makes the shoe waterproof and breathable. HAIX also uses an abrasion-resistant lining material. This is particularly useful for users who regularly move between vehicles, buildings and outdoor areas throughout the day. The lining is also designed to provide a high level of climate comfort and is suitable for warmer operating conditions.
Insole
Inside the shoe is a cushioning, moisture-wicking insole. A separate heel cup supports the rear section of the foot and improves guidance. For additional air circulation, the insole features AIRFLOW channels. Recycled PU foam is used in its construction.
Climate System
The HAIX Climate System makes use of the natural movement generated while walking. Each step creates a pumping action that transports moisture towards the top of the shaft. From there, the Micro-Dry lining helps move it further to the outside. In this way, the ventilation system works together with the natural walking motion.
XLR8 – Designed for Movement
The XLR8 concept is not based on a single component. HAIX combines several elements designed to work together to enhance control, endurance and dynamic walking performance. These include heel guidance, responsive sole cushioning and a last that does not unnecessarily restrict the foot.
Reforce Technology
Reforce creates a targeted rotational movement of the heel bone. This supports the natural alignment of the arch of the foot. In combination with the adaptive heel counter, the system is designed to provide more controlled heel guidance.
Responsive Rolling Motion
With every step, the construction absorbs energy. Part of this energy is stored and released again during push-off. This provides balanced responsiveness and supports the athletic character of the shoe – especially when covering long distances during a shift.
Sole Construction
Insole Board
A moisture-absorbing fleece insole board forms the internal base. Together with the removable insole above it, this creates a multi-stage moisture management system.
Rubber and PU Outsole
The outsole combines rubber and PU. It is fuel-resistant, provides heat and cold insulation and is also non-marking. Grip is achieved through the tread design and the special rubber compound used. This combination delivers very good slip resistance on a variety of surfaces.
An elastic PU midsole is positioned between the foot and the outsole. It keeps the weight low while also providing part of the cushioning performance. In the heel area, the PU extends higher to improve stability. At the front, it also reaches further upwards, providing additional protection for the toe area.
HAIX Anti Slip
With HAIX Anti Slip, the tread pattern and rubber compound are specifically engineered for grip. This is particularly noticeable on changing surfaces and contributes to a secure and controlled walking motion.
HAIX Absorption
An additional cushioning wedge is integrated directly into the sole construction. The HAIX Absorption System supports shock absorption when the foot strikes the ground and complements the PU midsole and insole.
HAIX CO-System
The HAIX CO-System focuses on ergonomic support. The system is designed to relieve pressure and provide cushioning while also taking foot position, body alignment and muscular balance into account.
Arch Support System
The HAIX Arch Support System stabilizes the natural arch of the midfoot. At the same time, the front section of the shoe is not made unnecessarily narrow: the toes and forefoot retain sufficient space and can move freely while walking.
Quick Adjustment with Smart Lacing
Instead of conventional open lacing, HAIX uses the Smart Lacing System. This allows the shoe to be adjusted smoothly to the foot while minimizing pressure points. A quick-release fastener makes readjustment easier. Any excess lace length can then be stored in the integrated pocket. This keeps the lacing system closed and neatly secured to the shoe.
HAIX Vario Wide Fit System
The HAIX Vario Wide Fit System allows the internal width of the shoe to be individually adjusted. Three differently designed insoles are available for this purpose. The red Medium-width insole is included as standard. For a wider or narrower fit, a yellow Wide insole or blue Narrow insole can be purchased separately. This allows the HAIX Black Eagle EVO Athletic V GTX Mid to be adapted more precisely to different foot shapes.
Please note: The HAIX Vario Wide Fit System is supplied only with the red insole. The two additional insoles must be purchased separately.
The HAIX Black Eagle EVO Athletic V GTX Mid therefore combines a wide range of technical features without losing its fundamentally athletic character. Waterproof GORE-TEX, a slip-resistant outsole, multiple cushioning elements and anatomically designed foot guidance make it a versatile occupational shoe for professional users.
