Ballistic flagship in the close combat range
The AMP-1 TP, shown in the High Cut variant, is the technical leader in the Busch PROtective ranks. With superior ballistic performance, it is the only helmet world-wide to meet the DEA-FBI protocol. Modularity, comfort and unsurpassed ballistic performance make the AMP-1 TP the preferred helmet for close combat operations.
Construction - helmet shell with EBSP technology
The exceptionally thermally resistant Kevlar helmet shell is designed in the classic ACH (Advanced Combat Helmet) style, providing ballistic and impact protection, stability and comfort without restricting the wearer's field of vision or hearing. The particularly robust structure of the shell is based on Busch's patented EBSP technology, which does not allow bullet penetration and impresses with an average rear deformation of less than 4 mm/0.156 inch.
Fit - One Size, Customisable for All
All Busch PROtective helmets are subject to the One Size Fits All principle; particularly the harness on the inside ensures comfort and fit. This means that the same helmet can cater for a wide range of individual preferences and deliver consistent performance simply by changing and upgrading the same shell.
Protection and comfort
An adjustable harness wheel can adjust helmet size across the size spectrum between X-Small and X-Large, ensuring a secure fit for any head size. With the 4-point attachment of the harness straps, stability is guaranteed and the padding on two levels brings individual and uncompromised comfort: The padding system is formed by changeable Memory Foam pads, which have a shock-absorbing effect and provide cooling.
The pads are available in different thicknesses so that the right pad can be used depending on head size or preference. However, it is not only the memory foam pads that protect the head from impact: the Energy Pad System under the actual pads is an additional mechanism that absorbs the energy of impacts and thus serves to protect against blunt trauma.Refitting and upgrading
For upgrading and fitting, the Picatinny rail system on both sides provides the necessary modularity for attaching additional equipment such as cameras, torches, etc. With the NVG cover and an optional hook-and-loop kit, the helmet can be individually adapted to the respective mission. Thanks to Busch's own Speed Connect System (SCS), visors can be easily attached with a click; the system is suitable for all visor models.
The Busch PROtective AMP-1 TP helmet is compatible with all common hearing protectors and gas masks. Optionally and additionally available are CAP-1 hook-and-loop patches, rubber bands, CAP-1 helmet cover, CAW-1 counterweight set and the TTB-1 tactical helmet bag.
