  Lightweight Hiking Backpack with MOLLE Hip Belt

  The 5.11 Skyweight 36L Pack is a new addition to the 5.11 Skyweight lineup, combining years of experience in durable tactical gear with lightweight materials to make products for the outdoors. Crafted from lightweight and abrasion-resistant 330D RipStop Nylon, this backpack features a 36-liter capacity and a comfortable hip belt, making it an excellent companion for extended outdoor adventures. For added visibility and protection against rain, it includes a signal-orange rain cover.
  

  Prepared for Extended Wear

  To ensure maximum comfort, 5.11 has integrated a frame into the back system and combined it with soft padding and air channels. This efficiently distributes the load and prevents heat buildup. The padded hip belt is secured with hook and loop on the lower back pad. The MOLLE webbing around the hip belt makes it functional even as a standalone belt for modular pouches. It pairs perfectly with the Skyweight Survival Chest Pack and Skyweight Utility Chest Pack by 5.11. An exceptional feature usually found in larger backpacks is the hip belt adjustment mechanism. Using a kind of pulley system, you can easily tighten the hip belt with a forward pull, ensuring a snug fit with minimal effort. For optimal shoulder fit, the padded shoulder straps come with load control straps, an adjustable chest strap with an emergency whistle, and MOLLE loops for attaching modular pouches. Quick-release buckles on the chest, hip, and shoulder straps allow for easy removal of the backpack even in tight spaces.
  

  Intelligent Compartments and Details

  For secure and easily accessible storage of small items, the daypack features an external zippered compartment with organizational slots, perfect for everyday carry (EDC) items. Below this is a spacious and flat "stuff-it" pocket for quick-access items like fire starters, a saw, a towel, and more. Additionally, the Daisy Chain webbing allows for hanging carabiners or securing a windbreaker to the outside of the backpack using elastic cord. To keep water bottles within easy reach, the side pockets are made of stretchy material, conforming to the pack's profile when empty. In addition to or as an alternative to water bottles, the hiking backpack has an external hydration system compartment behind the back padding for a water bladder and tube loops on the shoulder straps. Two gear loops are ideal for securing trekking poles, keeping your hands free when trails get steep. Access to the spacious main compartment is provided by the full-length zipper, allowing for a comprehensive view of the contents. Inside the main compartment, there's a mesh pocket for travel documents and keys. On the sides, two compression straps with snap buckles ensure secure weight distribution and prevent unwanted over-opening of the main zipper. For longer journeys that require a sleeping pad without using up valuable space inside the outdoor backpack, the Skyweight 36L Pack has two bottom attachment straps. The practical carry handle between the shoulder straps makes it easy to grab and load the travel backpack.
