  During the onset of WWII, Army-issued M-1928 haversacks were insufficient for the growing needs of soldiers. It did not take long before something more practical was developed to aid those in the field, but the initial upgrade carried its own set of challenges. Rucksacks continued to rapidly evolve throughout the 20th century, both in the military and for commercial use, leveraging new technologies and diversifying the options developed for specific users.
  
  Strategically engineered for premium comfort, utility, and modularity, the nimble 1350 cubic inch FAST Pack Litespeed is a new generation of everyday carry and a far cry from the archaic canvas sacks our forefathers bore. The Litespeed is built for minimalist daily carry but has been carefully engineered to adjust to end-user requirements and adapt to multiple mission profiles. By relying on the ruggedness of warfare standards, integrated MIL-SPEC materials and hardware, TAD Gear ensure that the pack can travel full-speed ahead. Step into the new evolution of the rucksack and harness the speed of light.
  
  Versatile: Anchor points on the exterior and interior of the pack enables you to continually adapt and evolve the pack configuration to your changing needs. A lightweight attachment system along the handle provides an easy way to attach bulky items such as a rope or jacket to the top of your pack for easy access. Incorporating 96 inches of removable paracord, it's also usable for other purposes in an emergency. Removable compression straps at the base secure odd-sized items.
  
  Comfortable: Made with a unique high pressure nitrogen gas solution process, aerated closed cell foam padding aids in superior shock protection and comfort. Polyester and nylon mesh aid in ventilation on the shoulder straps and back panel of the pack. The mesh also creates a softer surface to decrease wear and tear on your apparel. Engineered suspension geometry and a HDPE framesheet enable the pack to ride higher on your back. Load lifters allow the Litespeed to handle heavier loads more comfortably.
  
  Universal: The overall length of our Litespeed has been reduced by 2.00” to minimize interaction with gear worn around the waist and enable the pack to fit a wide range of torso lengths comfortably.
  
  Durable: Our pack is made of MIL-SPEC 1000 Denier Invista™ Cordura® fabric, a high tensile strength composite nylon thread and webbing that’s nearly impossible to rip or tear. Hypalon, the same material found on Zodiac boats, was used to reinforce critical stress points on the pack, such as the handle, shoulder strap connection points, and top exit port for the hydration tube.
  
  Modular: Laced with Pouch Attachment Ladder System (PALS) webbing, our Litespeed is compatible with Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) pouches so that you can customize the layout of your gear to suit your changing missions. Two-inch webbing underneath the PALS webbing lets you attach wider items, such as Tek-Lok™ equipped sheaths and holsters. Our signature Transport Tail can be used to hold odd-sized items like a helmet, or released into the down position to hold linear items like rifles.

  VERY solid bag from TAD. I bought this bag back in 2014 or 2015 and it still looks like new. Because of all the attachement points and internal storage it can be used as a very cool diaper bag to a 3 day-hike bag. It is a pricy bag but well worth the bucks. Show more Show less
