A lot of knowledge of the demands of modern missions, further developments in the material and smart changes in layout and details have made for some valuable updates in the Arc`teryx LEAF program in 2021. The Assault Pant AR Gen 2 has been revised in a number of places as well and improved in terms of layout, fit and detailing. More cargo pockets and more freedom of movement for more performance was the motto and the LEAF Combat Pants convince on the full line.No melt / No drip Ripstop in ergonomic shape
The proven No melt / No drip Nylon Ripstop made of 50% cotton and 50% nylon is a no-brainer in terms of durability and operational capability on tactical missions. Without sacrificing the material, the cut of the second generation operational pants has been ergonomically adapted, thus improving full mobility. Especially in important areas such as the crotch, knees and waistband, the shape has been anatomically adapted to better accommodate movement. Heavily used areas such as the cargo pockets and the insert for the kneepad now have a double stitching, so that the impact can be increased.
The width of the waistband can still be adjusted with the side hook-and-loop adjuster and the width of the leg on the boot can be adjusted with a hook-and-loop fastener if needed. The belt loops are designed to work with the LEAF Rigger's System.Additional cargo pockets and improved stitching
An additional cargo pocket on the thigh adds even more space for small items and changes the layout of the Combat Pants. Key is that the cargo pockets are easily accessible even when combined with Body Armour or while seated. A Daisychain inside is provided for the attachment of small parts. The main change to the back pockets is that they are no longer covered. Because they are now much deeper and have been moved a bit to the side, the cover has been eliminated, which is beneficial for use with gloves.
The Assault Pant AR Gen 2 includes a pair of soft EV®50 knee pads that can be swapped out for hard knee pads. The technical detail improvements and dynamic cut of the Assault Pant AR Gen 2 give the 2021 update its justification and convince with small but subtle changes in terms of performance.
