Zum Vatertag 2018 baten wir Euch, uns Eure ganz pers\u00f6nliche „Tactical Dad Story“ zu senden. Lest den Beitrag noch mal hier<\/a>.

Wir waren \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigt von so vielen beeindruckenden, sch\u00f6nen und pers\u00f6nlichen Erlebnissen<\/strong> die Ihr mit uns geteilt habt! Wir wissen, dass viele von Euch derzeit im Einsatz sind – was bedeutet, dass Ihr den Vatertag nicht mit Eurem Kind oder Vater verbringen konntet.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Besonders hat uns die „Tactical Dad“ Geschichte von Marc und seinem Sohn<\/strong> gefallen:<\/em><\/p>\n

TACTICAL MALTA
\n<\/strong> Eine kleine Vater-Sohn-Malta Story<\/h2>\n

Das erste Mal fliegen. Und dann auch gleich ans Ende Europas. Das war schon etwas besonderes fu\u0308r meinen Sohn und mich. Malta, das war ein Land woru\u0308ber wir gar nicht viel wussten. Ein Land voller Ungewissheiten und Mysterien<\/strong>. Also musste natu\u0308rlich einiges an Ausru\u0308stung mit um mit allen m\u00f6glichen Situationen umgehen zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

Als erstes natu\u0308rlich unsere Rucks\u00e4cke. Tasmanian Tiger<\/strong><\/a>. Diese Rucks\u00e4cke begleiten mich schon seit sehr vielen Jahren. Und mein Sohn liebt seinen \u201ekleinen\u201c auch sehr. Es passt irgendwie immer alles hinein und sie tragen sich fantastisch. Dann natu\u0308rlich ein Hobokocher<\/strong>, ein paar Messer<\/strong> (ER BF2CD als EDC, ein Victorinox Fieldmaster und je nach Tour ein Cold Steel Bushman), etwas Paracord<\/strong>, ein Medipack<\/strong> und etwas Kleinkram. Natu\u0308rlich auch Wasserflaschen<\/strong> und zwei Shemaghs<\/strong>. Das war die Ausru\u0308stung fu\u0308r unsere Tagestouren.<\/p>\n

Das Land Malta besteht aus drei Inseln. Das war mir gar nicht klar. Malta, Gozo und Comino. Jede dieser Inseln ist fu\u0308r sich einzigartig und hat eine eigene Ausstrahlung. Die Menschen sind unglaublich freundlich und aufgeschlossen<\/strong>. Das hat meinen Sohn dazu beflu\u0308gelt mit fremden Menschen Englisch zu sprechen. Einfach so und obwohl er erst in der zweiten Klasse ist und noch kaum Englisch gesprochen hatte. Er fragte mich wie etwas auf Englisch hei\u00dft und lief los. Es war sch\u00f6n zu sehen wie frei und unbefangen<\/strong> er sich dort bewegte.<\/p>\n

Als wir bei einer Tagestour auf Comino<\/strong>, die kleinste der Inseln mit nur drei Einwohnern, ankamen, brauchten wir auch gleich das Medipack<\/strong>. Ein kleiner unbedachter Tritt und die ersten Schu\u0308rfwunden und Tr\u00e4nen mussten behandelt werden. Danach war es super sch\u00f6n und wir konnten uns der Sonne entgegen strecken und die wirklich unberu\u0308hrte Natur genie\u00dfen. So einen sch\u00f6nen Ausblick hatten wir noch nie gesehen<\/strong> – da waren wir uns einig.<\/p>\n

Die Fahrt mit dem kleinen Boot wieder zuru\u0308ck war unglaublich schaukelig. Es war starker Wind und die Wellen schlugen u\u0308ber die Reling ins Boot. Da wir aber auch immer ein Mikrofaser Handtuch<\/strong> dabei hatten war das auch kein Problem.<\/p>\n

Es standen noch einige weitere Tagesausflu\u0308ge auf dem Programm. Valetta, die Hauptstadt des Landes, an einen der sch\u00f6nsten Str\u00e4nde Europas, an das blaue Fenster, welches leider seit letztem Jahr nicht mehr existiert – weil es eingestu\u0308rzt ist und viele weitere.<\/p>\n

Ein Highlight am letzten Tag war die Besichtigung des Leuchtturms auf Gozo. Dort war w\u00e4hrend des zweiten Weltkrieges die British Air Force<\/strong> stationiert. Dort liegen noch u\u0308berall alte verrostete Geschu\u0308tzteile und man findet eingefallene Steinbauten, die zur Verteidigung dienten. Ein beindruckendes und auch beklemmendes Gefu\u0308hl dort zu stehen.<\/p>\n

Die Tage auf Malta vergingen wie im Flug. Wir haben unseren Urlaub genossen und konnten uns immer auf unsere Ausru\u0308stung verlassen<\/strong>. Das war ein gutes Gefu\u0308hl.<\/p>\n

Nun werden wir erstmal den Sommer mit Camping in Deutschland und angrenzenden L\u00e4ndern verbringen und n\u00e4chstes Jahr finden wir sicher ein neues Ziel, wo wir eine sch\u00f6ne \u201etaktische\u201c Zeit verbringen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

English Version<\/em><\/h3>\n

For Father’s Day 2018, we asked you to send us your own personal „Tactical Dad Story“. Check out the post here<\/a>.

We were overwhelmed by the many impressive, beautiful and personal experiences<\/strong> you shared with us! We know that many of you are currently deployed – which means you could not spend Father’s Day with your child or father.<\/em><\/p>\n

We especially liked the story of Marc and his son<\/strong>:<\/em><\/p>\n

TACTICAL MALTA<\/strong>
\nA little father-son-Malta story<\/h2>\n

Flying for the first time, and then right to Europe\u2019s southern end – this was very special for my son and I. Malta was a country unknown to us, a land full of uncertainties and mysteries<\/strong>. Therefore I needed a lot of equipment to deal with all sorts of situations.<\/p>\n

First of course, our backpacks. Tasmanian Tiger<\/strong><\/a>. These rucksacks have been with me for many years. And my son loves his „little one“ too. It always fits everything, which makes them fantastic. Then of course: a hobo cooker<\/strong>, a few knives<\/strong> (ER BF2CD as EDC, a Victorinox Fieldmaster and depending on the tour: a Cold Steel Bushman), some paracord<\/strong>, a medipack<\/strong> and some trinkets. Also of course, water bottles<\/strong> and two shemaghs<\/strong>. That was the equipment for our daytrips.<\/p>\n

The country of Malta consists of three islands. I did not know that. Malta, Gozo and Comino. Each of these islands is unique and has its own charisma. The people are incredibly friendly and open-minded<\/strong>. This has inspired my son to speak English with strangers. Just like that – eventhough he’s only in second grade and had barely spoken English. He would ask me \u201ewhat is it called in English?\u201c and ran off. It was nice to see how free and easy<\/strong> he moved around.<\/p>\n

When we headed out on a daytrip to Comino<\/strong>, the smallest of the islands with only three inhabitants, we also needed the medipack<\/strong>. A small thoughtless step and the first abrasions and tears had to be treated. After that it was super nice and we could stretch out in the sun and enjoy the untouched nature. We have had such a beautiful view, we were agreed.<\/p>\n

The ride back with the small boat was incredibly rocky. There was a strong wind and the waves hit the boat over the railing. But since we also always had a microfiber towel<\/strong>, that was not a problem.<\/p>\n

There were a few more daytrips on the program. Valetta, the capital of the country, to one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, to the blue window, which unfortunately has not existed since last year – because it has collapsed along with many more.<\/p>\n

A highlight on the last day was the visit to the lighthouse on Gozo. During Second World War, the British Air Force<\/strong> was stationed here. There are still old rusty gun parts everywhere and you can find sunken stone buildings that were used for defense. An impressive and also oppressive feeling to stand here.<\/p>\n

The days in Malta went by in a flash. We enjoyed our holiday and could always count on our equipment<\/strong>. That was a good feeling.<\/p>\n

Now we will spend the first summer camping in Germany and neighboring countries, next year we will surely find a new destination where we can spend a nice „tactical“ time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
