  Cold protection pant 2.1

  The Cold WX Pant LT in generation 2.1 is the update of the proven cold weather pants in Multicam. The synthetically insulated, windproof pant is an established choice when it comes to performing direct action tasks in cold weather. With an extra rugged structure and hybrid material construction, they are pants that are not only cold resistant, but also durable and tough even in high-wear areas like the buttocks, knees and ankles.

  Outer membrane

  GORE-TEX Infinium is a line of Gore-Tex products that, unlike traditional Gore-Tex products, focuses not only on protection from water and wind, but on providing comfort and performance in a wide range of conditions.

  The 2L GORE Infinium, 40d 100% nylon surface used here is a softshell variant. This variant is a specific version of Gore-Tex Infinium: "2L" stands for "two-layer," which means it has two layers: an outer layer of 100% nylon and an inner layer of Gore-Tex membrane. The 40 den refers to the weight of the nylon and describes the fiber thickness. In this case, 40 den means that the nylon material has a medium to light thickness.

  Insulation

  For uncompromising insulation, the Climashield 3.0oz Prism Fiberfill with DWR (Durable Water Repellent) provides it. Climashield is a type of synthetic insulation material that is a type of fiberfill made from a special blend of polyester fibers arranged in a unique prismatic shape for better thermal performance. Compared to other insulation materials, Climashield has the advantage of providing good thermal performance even in damp or wet conditions and is relatively easy to maintain. The DWR coating on the surface of the material provides an additional water repellent layer that prevents the fiber fill from clumping and compromising its thermal performance when wet.

  This combination of materials provides an excellent balance of waterproofing, breathability and durability. The outer layer of nylon provides a tough, abrasion-resistant surface, while the Gore-Tex membrane creates a reliable waterproof and breathable barrier. Weighing just 620g, it's lightweight yet durable enough to withstand adverse weather conditions.

  Hem and zipper

  The pants have the necessary features of a cold weather pant, such as cuffs with vertical drawcord and closure for customization, and suspenders loops at the waist for optional attachment of suspenders. An elastic adjustable nylon belt flexibly adjusts to fit waist size.

  Full-length side zippers allow easy entry and exit even over the boots. They can also be opened for better situational ventilation.

  Storage pockets on the thighs zipper closed and provide ample space for hats, gloves and other essential accessories.

  The Cold WX Pant LT Gen 2.1 brings full performance for warmth and protection from the elements without sacrificing comfort or mobility, and is ideal as a top layer in icy operational situations.
