The upgrade of the Rush series from 5.11 Tactical is one of the highlights of the 2021 tactical season; the Rush24 2.0 in Multicam is its flagship. In the popular medium size and at 37 liters, it's a true daypack for the critical, the mundane, the commute, and the hikes and short trips to clear your head. With more options for packing and a compartment for a laptop up to 15", the bestseller in the 5.11 Tactical range has become more modern - after all, the equipment must adapt to the demands.M.O.L.L.E. system in Centre Line design
What has remained is the significant look of the daypack, which continues to be defined by its M.O.L.L.E. system. The M.O.L.L.E. strips were used lavishly on the Rush24; after all, the tactical backpack is meant to be as versatile as possible. The webbing strips cover the entire front, sides and bottom panel, freeing up a lot of space for the usual tac pouches and magazine pouches of a standard insert. In the center, they meet symmetrically to form the typical 5.11 Centre Line design.
The CORDURA 1050 den of the deployment backpack is made exactly for that: the deployment. Robust and waterproof, the material can withstand even uncomfortable operations with excellent durability; the particularly tear-resistant nylon is known for its durability. Even heavy loads can be packed without any problems. The established carrying system also plays along, as the ergonomically shaped and padded back of the backpack and the padded shoulder straps ensure a good wearing comfort. Packing 37 liters is no problem in the Rush24's main compartment; measuring 50 x 32 x 20 cm, it has enough room for a spare sweater, a round of provisions and the typical small stuff. The promised laptop compartment for a notebook up to 15" in size is located on the inside back of the pack, where the computer simply slides into the padded compartment. There is a compartment for a water system here, as well; the opening for the outlet is routed to the back of the backpack. There are two mesh pockets on the inside of the front flap for cables, chargers, etc.
On the front of the backpack, two front patch pockets are for stowing small EDC items and documents. With a couple of slip pockets and a zippered compartment, the lower, larger compartment is especially helpful for neatly stowing small items. The larger front compartment has another function in the 2.0 version of the Rush24, namely it hides a concealed hook-and-loop compartment in which more sensitive documents or small items can be stowed. The compartment is not visible from the outside and is therefore especially useful in the field for the discreet stowage of equipment.
The new version of the Rush24 multicam is actually not so much an update as it is an upgrade: with the simple idea of adding a notebook compartment, a huge functionality has been added, but without making any compromise. The classic in the 5.11 Tactical Team now with even more versatile skills is definitely ready for 2.0 missions.
